In 1919 Hans Spidsberg built a new mountain pasture on Venabygdsfjellet. The pasture was situated just in the transition between the cultural landscape and the mighty high mountain that stretches into Rondane.
Today, Spidsbergseter offers recreation and experiences in a setting you will never forget. Spidsbergseter is a family-run hotel on Venabygdsfjellet 950 MASL. The hotel is known for its distinctive and personal atmosphere, where traditions meet modern hotel management. The area consists of 61 rooms in the hotel, 16 apartments and 1 cottage. The hotel has 4 meeting rooms and several smaller group rooms. The largest meeting room has capacity for 160 people.
A great location
The location on Snaufjellet is unique, and for people who enjoy being outside, there is nothing better than having one of Norway's best cross country and hiking terrain right outside the door. These are the hosts
The owners, Sindre and Elise Spidsbergseter and are wonderful, and very involved in daily operations. They took over in january 2015 and are now the 4th generation running the beautiful place. The waiters in the restaurant or receptionist are just as participatory. Everybody wants whats best for the guests. Elise and Sindre says the best thing about running the hotel is to get to know so many different people, both colleagues and guests.
