See Dovrefjell at its best, for the best of Dovrefjell. Experience the nature, culture and architecture that has attracted thousands of visitors.
Snøhetta Viewpoint is an architectural viewing pavilion 1200m above sea level overlooking the Snøhetta Mountain in Norway. In 2011 it got the prestigious award “World building of the year”. The building is based on a contrast between ideas, a rigid exterior constructed of steel and glass—pictured reflecting the Northern Lights—versus an organic wood interior made to mimic erosion from natural forces.
A viewpoint out of the ordinary
Take the trip along the 1,5-kilometer trail up to the viewpoint Snøhetta, the view pavilion at Tverrfjellet, and experience the 10,000-year-old story at Dovrefjell, where the wildlife reigns as a red thread and the musk pastures all year long. When you look up and beyond, you notice how the combination of exquisite architecture, outstanding views and nature play together.
